Regulating, monitoring, controlling: Chemical technicians operate and supervise chemical production plants.

We carry out this training in cooperation with Covestro AG in Brunsbüttel, i.e. the training takes place both in Uetersen at Oemeta Chemische Werke GmbH and in Brunsbüttel at Covestro AG.

Prerequisites

• Good secondary school leaving certificate or secondary school leaving certificate
• Good grades in math, physics and chemistry
• Interest in and understanding of chemical and technical contexts
• Reliability, ability to concentrate and ability to work in a team

Duration of training: 3.5 years

Training content

• Chemical and physical working methods and procedures
• Process and information technology
• Control and monitoring of chemical production plants
• Quality assurance, occupational safety and environmental protection
• Fundamentals of metalworking and control and electrical engineering

Prospects

After the apprenticeship, we offer the possibility of in-service qualification as:

Industrial foreman in chemistry
(state-certified)

Analyzing, experimenting and documenting: Chemical laboratory technicians examine raw materials, intermediates and end products in chemical laboratories.

Technician in Chemistry
(state-certified)

Requirements

• Good secondary school certificate/ business degree or high school diploma
• Good grades in German, math and English
• Interest in commercial contexts
• Enjoy working with numbers
• Confident verbal and written communication skills
• Initiative and ability to work in a team

Duration of training: 3 years

Training content

• Commercial activities and processing
• Export, sales, purchasing, accounting and marketing
• Disposition of raw materials and finished goods
• Communication with customers, partners, subsidiaries and suppliers
• Modern IT tools such as MS Office, ERP software and electronic archiving programs

Prospects

After the apprenticeship, we offer the opportunity to qualify as an:

• Industrial business administrator
• Specialist in purchasing and materials management

Study or training? We offer both: Industrial Clerk (m/f/d) + Bachelor of Arts (Business Administration)

In just 4 years (semesters) you will acquire two degrees in a trial training program.

After just 2 years of training at Oemeta in Uetersen, you will have passed the Chamber of Industry and Commerce examination and have your first qualification as an industrial clerk (m/f/d) in your pocket. You will then embark on a full-time course of study at the West Coast University of Applied Sciences in Heide. There you will gain even more practical experience, as you will complete further practical semesters in your company. This is also possible abroad. Another special feature is your individual specialization through the choice of focus areas. In the 8th semester, you will complete your studies with a Bachelor of Arts (Business Administration).

Oemeta will pay the semester fees and any dormitory costs in Heide for you. And after that? Afterwards, depending on availability and your specialization, you can look forward to interesting entry-level positions at Oemeta, e.g. in Human Resources, Sales or Product Management.

We are a partner company of the private business school NORDAKADEMIE in Elmshorn. Depending on requirements, we offer various dual study courses.
