HYCUT two-component metalworking fluids reduce costs through comprehensive process optimization
Our HYCUT products are based on synthetic ester oils and can be used multifunctionally as machining oil, hydraulic oil, two-component metalworking fluid, and cleaner. Since HYCUT products are compatible with each other, intermediate cleaning, for example, is unnecessary.
Another special feature of HYCUT as an emulsion is the ability to control oil and additives separately throughout its entire service life. This allows perfect adaptation to different process, material, and lubrication performance requirements.

HYCUT – in oil processing
All cutting and grinding oils in the HYCUT family are based on synthetic ester oils. These offer extremely high lubrication performance, thereby significantly reducing tool wear. The use of synthetic, saturated ester oils makes the products very resistant to aging. This ensures long service life. In addition, the high cleaning performance of the synthetic oils ensures clean machines and components and, especially during grinding, exceptionally good removal performance.
At a glance:
- No labeling required, even at low viscosities
- Easy cleaning with aqueous media and, ideally, complete elimination of cleaning
- Low odor and evaporation, thus improving working conditions
- Increased occupational safety due to comparatively higher flash points compared to mineral oil products
- Proven process reliability through approvals from renowned machine manufacturers
HYCUT SE 12 has 30% lower evaporation loss compared to a conventional mineral oil-based grinding oil of the same viscosity (according to Noack, at 150 °C).
HYCUT – as a two-component MWF
The unique feature of HYCUT as an emulsion is that both the oil and the additives can be controlled separately. This allows precise adaptation to a wide range of processes, materials, and lubrication performance requirements. The individual components can be specifically replenished throughout the entire service life of the emulsion. Renowned manufacturers in the German automotive industry rely on the HYCUT system, which meets the special requirements for cost-effectiveness and process reliability. Thanks to the wide range of applications and flexibility of HYCUT, entire production areas can be supplied with just one MWF system.
At a glance:
- Economical consumption thanks to extremely good drainage behavior
- High degree of foreign oil separation, making emulsion maintenance easy
- Stable processes, as it is foam-free even with low water hardness
- Clean workpieces, tools, and machines thanks to excellent rinsing properties
- Very good skin compatibility, as the additive content remains constant regardless of the concentration used
HYCUT – for the entire process chain
Pretty clever: Components that have first been treated with HYCUT oil can be further processed with HYCUT emulsion without intermediate washing. Oil residues, e.g., from the bed rail, improve the lubricating performance instead of contaminating the emulsion. And if intermediate cleaning is necessary, the HYCUT cleaner is simply returned to the emulsion. You too can work economically with HYCUT in the future.
HYCUT components can also be used in machine lubrication – both as a hydraulic medium (in ISO VG classes, comparable to HLP oils) and as bedway lubrication (sliding way oils, comparable to CGLP types). The major advantage lies in the excellent emulsifiability and complete compatibility within the HYCUT system. This avoids foreign oil and interface problems, reduces waste quantities, and significantly reduces the number of additives used. At the same time, the use of mineral oil-based lubricants is completely eliminated.
At a glance:
- No labeling required, even at low viscosities
- No negative influence from foreign oils
- Service life of up to several years
- Suitable for central systems and larger individual machines
- Reduction in washing processes
- Recycling of the cleaner into the emulsion
- Reduction in disposal and energy costs

What are synthetic ester oils?
In the production of synthetic esters, the fatty acid chemically extracted from virgin oils is specifically reacted with an alcohol that is also derived from natural sources or a synthetic alcohol. This allows the chemical composition and degree of purity to be precisely controlled. Like native vegetable oils, synthetic ester oils are mineral oil-free and biodegradable, but are usually much more durable and efficient.
Very high human and environmental compatibility
Ester oil-based cutting oils are generally much more compatible with humans and the environment than mineral oil-based products. The latter are classified as hazardous to aspiration at low viscosities, for example. In addition, ester oils are more readily biodegradable than mineral oils.
No chance for foreign oil
Water-miscible metalworking fluids contain emulsifiers that disperse (emulsify) the base oil into fine oil droplets. Since the emulsifiers contained in HYCUT are optimized for ester oils, foreign mineral oils are not emulsified in the metalworking fluid. The foreign oil is separated at the surface and can be easily removed, e.g., using suitable oil skimmers.
